The story of little Rokkor. Part 3.

In the rubble of text files and folders with pictures on my computer I found a template for part 3 of an article about little Rokkor.

The first 2 parts were published back in 2017 -

Part one 07/28/2017

Part two - 08/03/2017

I remember why I didn’t publish the third part then. It seems that this was a total disappointment in the product of the Soviet photographic industry.

In this case, Rokkor’s opponent was the Industar-81 lens with the same parameters - aperture ratio 1/2.8, focal length 38mm. I thought it was impossible to ruin a tessar. But the Soviet masters succeeded.

This lens was on the FED-Mikron camera. I hope the poor quality of this lens only applies to this example. Otherwise, it is unclear how FED engineers slept peacefully after creating such rubbish.

There will be no comments on the footage, I’ll just show old footage. There will be no new ones. Both lenses were sold and found new owners. But I think Rokkor pleases his new owner with good shots, and the Soviet/Ukrainian Industar-81 was sold for pennies in a pile of other junk.

This concludes the story of this Rokkor.

But the story about little Rokkor does not end. There will definitely be a story about another little Rokkor.

Well, here are the heroes -

Let me remind you that I used a Panasonic Lumix G5 camera. Both lenses are adapted for M39 thread and were installed on the camera via a standard adapter. Of course, both lenses have no aperture.

A few shots from Rokkor -

Several frames from Industar-81

I think there is no need to comment on these shots and determine which lens is better.
Thank you for your attention.
